Hello. I’m Chris

 

I qualified as a teacher in 2010 and, for the past 6 years, have taught English language at KS4 and English Literature at KS4 and KS5.

 

I take a philosophical approach to education, encouraging young people to "think outside of the box" and to develop critical analytical skills. 

Underpinning all of my teaching is a passion for literature and for helping young people to further understand both what they read and what they write.  

I have taught AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas GCSE English with a 100% success rate, as well as AQA A-level English. 

Between 2017 and 2018, and 2021-2023, I worked in specialist provisions with students with autism and ADHD.  I have a diploma in SEND. 

In addition to teaching English at KS3, KS4 and KS5, I have experience in preparing candidates for the 11+ and 13+ examinations with both Kent examinations and GL examinations.
